What to Expect
Currently closed for renovation. Reopening spring 2027.
Built by Brigham Young in the 1800s, these homes and offices served as residences for Church leaders and the headquarters of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for more than 60 years. Later, from 1920–1959, the Beehive House was used as a boarding house for young women.
Four self-guided tours allow visitors to explore different aspects of the site’s history, including family life, daily work, leadership, and moments of prophetic revelation. Carefully furnished interiors reflect how the buildings were used over the course of a century, helping bring the past to life.
The site offers more than architectural history. It reflects how faith in Jesus Christ influenced family life, leadership, and cooperation. It reminds us that no matter when or where we live, we can work together to build Zion and become more like Jesus Christ.
