Through art, digital media, sculpture, and immersive experiences, visitors explore themes of family, service, belonging, and worship centered on Jesus Christ. Exhibits highlight how individuals and families are connected across generations, how temples bless lives around the world, and how following Christ leads to service and unity.
Approachable and engaging, the Temple Discovery Experience gives additional context to the Inside a Temple Tour, also on the lower level.

Christ Carrying the Cross
This statue shows Jesus Christ bearing His cross to Calvary. Though He faced pain and rejection, He responded with mercy and forgiveness. It reminds us that Christ willingly gave His life for humanity, and through Him, we can find strength, mercy, and eternal hope.

Base and Meridian
Established in 1847, this marker became the reference point for Salt Lake City’s street system. Located on Temple Square, it reflects how pioneers built with order and faith, literally centering the city on the temple—the house of the Lord, Jesus Christ.

This newly commissioned sculpture portrays Jesus Christ extending His arm in strength and compassion. Inspired by His invitation to “come unto me,” it reflects His willingness to receive, help, and give peace to all who turn to Him.
