In Gethsemane, Jesus Christ knelt in prayer and bore the pain, sorrow, and sins of the world. This statue honors His act of love and invites reflection on the strength, peace, and hope found through Him.
Enjoy a quiet moment with a replica of Thorvaldsen’s Christus in a reverent pavilion overlooking the Salt Lake Temple. The space includes “living artwork” of the Savior’s life and a short audio presentation offered every 30 minutes. The statue is in the west pavilion of the Visitors’ Center.
This statue shows Jesus Christ bearing His cross to Calvary. Though He faced pain and rejection, He responded with mercy and forgiveness. It reminds us that Christ willingly gave His life for humanity, and through Him, we can find strength, mercy, and eternal hope.
This detailed scale model offers a rare look inside the Salt Lake Temple. During a brief presentation, walls open to reveal interior rooms as narration and music explain what happens in temples and why they matter to followers of Jesus Christ.
