Planting Family Trees

The Planting Family Trees exhibit introduces children to family history through fun, hands-on experiences that start with something children already understand: the people they love.
Through activities such as building family trees from blocks, coloring keepsakes about favorite family memories, and taking part in imaginative play, children explore the importance of relationships.
It’s a wonderful place for families to play, learn, and talk about the importance of belonging. All ages can discover and appreciate that they are an important part of a big, generational story.

A Firm Foundation
This family-friendly exhibit explores physical and spiritual foundations using the story of the Salt Lake Temple. Children can try an earthquake table, take photos in an ox yoke, and think about building a spiritual foundation on Jesus Christ.

This exhibit highlights the people whose faith, talents, and sacrifices shaped the Salt Lake Temple across generations. Through artifacts, tools, furnishings, and stories, visitors discover how devotion to Jesus Christ inspired individuals to build, beautify, strengthen, and preserve this sacred house of the Lord.
