Cedar of Lebanon
The Cedar of Lebanon on Temple Square is one of the area’s most distinctive living landmarks. Planted around 1949 from a one foot seedling brought from the Middle East, the tree now rises nearly 70 feet above the surrounding grounds. Cedars of Lebanon are known for their durability and long life, with some living for centuries.

Located on the east side of the Salt Lake Temple, the Reflection Pool offers a calm place to pause. Its still surface mirrors the temple, inviting visitors to reflect on peace and steadiness found through Jesus Christ.
