Joseph Smith Receives the Plates
This statue portrays the heavenly messenger, Moroni, delivering ancient plates to Joseph Smith. The record contains the teachings of prophets who lived in ancient America who testified of Jesus Christ. Joseph Smith translated the plates by the gift and power of God. It is known as The Book of Mormon and invites all to learn of Christ and draw nearer to Him.

Seagull Monument
In 1848, pioneers prayed as crickets threatened their crops. Seagulls arrived and saved the harvest. This monument remembers that moment and reflects the belief that God hears prayers and sustains His children through Jesus Christ.
