Five Wise Virgins
The Five Wise Virgins statue illustrates one of Jesus Christ’s parables, recorded in Matthew 25:1–10. In the story, ten women waited for a wedding celebration. Five wisely brought oil for their lamps, while the other five were unprepared. When the bridegroom arrived, only those with oil were ready to enter the feast.
Through this parable, Jesus taught the importance of spiritual preparation. Just as oil kept the lamps burning, faith in Christ provides guidance, strength, and light along life’s path.
The statue invites visitors to pause and reflect on personal spiritual readiness. It suggests that preparing our hearts through faith and daily devotion can bring peace, hope, and confidence as we face both expected and unexpected moments in life.
